Write a post

Before you start

Make sure:

If your name or edition is missing, ask the manager to add it.

1. Sign in

  1. Open the editor.
  2. Enter the class code.
  3. Choose an edition marked open.

The browser remembers the class code, so you usually will not need to enter it again. Published editions remain in the list, but you cannot edit them.

2. Add the post details

When you open the same edition in the same browser, the editor loads your saved post. Your post may not appear if you switch browsers or devices.

3. Write and format

Type your post in the large editor. The toolbar includes:

The cover image appears on the post card and above the published article. Images added with the toolbar appear inside the post.

Stay on the same browser and device while you work so the editor can find your saved post.

4. Save and mark the post final

The text next to Save shows what is happening:

The editor saves changes two seconds after you stop typing. Select Save if you want to save right away.

When the post is ready, turn on Final draft. The editor saves the post first, then checks for a title and a valid student name. You can keep editing a final post or turn Final draft off while the edition is open.

After the manager publishes the edition, you cannot make more changes. Readers will only see the post if it is final.

Troubleshooting

The class code isn't working

Enter the code exactly as the manager gave it to you. If it still does not work, ask the manager to check the current code.

My name isn't listed

Ask the manager to add your name under Manage → Students, then reload the editor.

I can't find my draft

Open the editor in the same browser and device where you started the post.

The edition is locked

The manager has published the edition. If you need to fix something, ask the manager to unpublish it.

An image or link won't save

Use a full URL that starts with http:// or https://. The editor does not accept local file paths or uploads.
